Entire Website Overhaul
We were first hired by Trevor at the beginning of this year just to speed up their old website, and to make sure everything was working as expected. But, when we were able to deliver in that capacity, he said he was planning to hire me for their upcoming redesign.
That redesign was carried out recently. We launched the project in early July.
From Non-Responsive To Fully-Reponsive
When we first worked on their project back in the beginning of 2024, their project was inconsistent in terms of spacing, breaking on various devices, and it was bogged down by unnecessary code and implementations.
After some time in the project to understand what the previous developer was working toward, we were able to improve page speeds by more than 15x, and ensure consistent spacing and proper mobile-responsive behaviors.
How We Brought Their Redesign Into Client-First
When it was time for the redesign, I worked off the Figma files they provided me to ensure their new iteration of the website flawlessly matched the designs. In the process, I also ensured the website was compliant with the Client-First systems to make maintenance and future developments easier and more consistent.
How Custom Code & SEO Helped To Speed Up Kopa
Utilizing my expertise in SEO and front-end development I was able to use the developer panel to determine various elements that were causing the website to take more than 30 seconds to load on mobile devices.
The previous developer had a long list of hidden elements with various heavy assets and resources that had to be removed, unused styles, unused fonts, videos, and other assets were purged. In addition, broken code had to be sifted through, fixed, and removed as well.
We are planning to work together again in the near-future to optimize the website in terms of SEO.
